Already 15 years I bought this building because I loved the stone and this region of Dordogne, the Périgord Noir. A possibility of renting gites in an ideal location, near Sarlat, the Dordogne and the canoes at 500 m. To sum up, an extremely pleasant human adventure, memories of human warmth, crying children who do not want to leave anymore…. Friendships that are created, despite the difficulties to pay back a very heavy credit on this building, because I started from nothing, with my motivation and my courage, the bank trusted me. Thank you therefore to all these charming tourists who have come and come to this place that I love. Soon it will be time for new investments, a reception room, a spa and the inglenook fireplace to make the soup of my childhood in the pot hanging over the fire…
I like to receive and know the tourists, I travel with them. During your vacations in the Dordogne at the Rivière Espérance, I make home-made welcome cocktails, I organize country meals with farm products from the neighboring farm based on goose, asparagus, strawberries… and hikes around Veyrignac, to discover the small local heritage. Canoeing on the Dordogne river, swimming in the river…. So many places and opportunities for convivial exchanges during your stay in the gîtes.

As I like to move and travel a lot I have several destinations that attract me like the gites villages in the Drôme first of all, the gites in Ardèche, the vacation rentals in Brittany and even the gites rentals in Creuse…. I like all the gites villages of the named departments and it is as much as the region, the owners that attract me…. It would be good moments of conviviality to share.
The spontaneous mutual aid that existed between vacationers when Pascal, a quadriplegic, took a dip in the pool. The 50th birthday of a sound and light manager, the biggest party ever organized at the Esperance River, with a stage that would make the pros swoon, all to thank his friends for coming. Very green meal, dances, music and 70’s costume. The star of the evening finally slipped away with his bottle of champagne and went to sleep under the bus shelter of the square, opposite, because there was a 50 sign for the speed limit and as it was his 50th birthday, it was certainly where he had to live…
